My best friend had moved from her home, about 3 miles from my home, in Southern California to Northern California to be closer to her daughter and her family.  Before her move, we visited each other often at breakfast, and scheduled day explorations when possible.  Each time we were together our “inner free spirit” came out.  No, we didn’t do anything illegal!  We played like we were younger girls…”Grown-Up Play Dates Never Go Out of Style”.

We recently connected in Southern California when she was in the area for a memorial service. The visit was great!  We spent much of the time walking around a famous mall. Then, we sat with our coffee and chocolate treats. These cozy chats and explorations sustain us until the next time we meet. Meeting again after moments or lifetimes is certain for those who are friends!

As some parts of the world and some states in the U.S. have begun to drop coronavirus-related restrictions, it may be a great time to reconnect with friends and make new ones. For me, I’ve made some wonderful new friends in a Zoom Meetup networking group I joined a few months ago.
